A woman once said to me: “Your jaw line is extremely sexy.” I told her: “No woman has ever told me that before. What’s so sexy about my jaw line? Why does my jaw line stand out to you?” She said: “Your jaw shape and structure is very masculine, it’s quite a turn on.”
I could tell she was being authentic in her expression. She wasn’t just throwing out a compliment for the sake of responding and just saying something as a response. She studied me and saw something special about me that caused a reaction from within her.
I will never forget her and her compliment (even though our interaction was short-lived) because it’s rare that men actually receive genuine, honest and direct compliments.
I’ve heard all the one word compliments, it does nothing. Most of the time it’s bullshit responses.
Men want to hear who you are, what makes your heart flutter about them particularly. If you’re not going to take the time and energy to discover what is true for you about them, then it’s best not to compliment because that’s how the one word compliments are received, like you don’t really give a shit.
Which is fine, a man doesn’t need compliments. A mature man is not looking for compliments and doesn’t want his ego boosted. He just wants to know how you genuinely feel about him so he knows how to proceed. He isn’t interested in games.
